GENERAL RULES

1. KNOWLEDGE OF RULES: All competitors should know the rules for the division. Along with the following:

2. ONE WAY RADIOS: One-way radio on the track frequency is required, but no other radio communication from anyone outside the car, to the driver, is allowed. Track frequency :

3. DRIVING SUITS & HELMETS -1 piece fireproof suits only. Helmet must be full face and Snell 95 or newer. Competitors without a Nomex® lined helmet will be required to wear a Nomex® head sock. 2-layer fire suit is recommended, 1 layer fire suits must wear Nomex® underwear. Fireproof gloves of at least single layer also mandatory. Any fire suit, gloves, helmet, or shoes that Tioga Officials find unsafe will result in not being able to race until replaced.

4. SAFETY: Only safety crew, wrecker crew and track officials will be allowed on the track in the event of an accident. Any crew member on the track without permission will result in suspension of the crew member.

5. Drivers assume the responsibility for action and conduct of his/her pit crew and all members of his race team. Verbal or other abuse of any type of official, employee, other participants and /or patrons will not be tolerated. Steps will be taken to do whatever is necessary to maintain a trouble-free atmosphere at the Chemung Speedrome

6. No member of a race team-driver, owner, sponsor, crew or anyone affiliated with the said team may enter the scoring tower unless receiving permission. Failure to abide by this can result in a fine or suspension of the driver.

7. Use of intoxicating beverages or drugs before entering pits infield or while in attendance until the last event is complete. Will result in the person being suspended from going into the infield.

8. TIRE SOFTENER: Tires that have been softened or altered in any way will result in the following penalties.

a. First offense: 4 weeks suspension and loss of points.

b. Second offense: 1-year suspension.

9. OIL PAN INSPECTION: All divisions must have sight hole in oil pan for inspections required on the left side of the oil pan. The inspection hole must be a minimum of 1 ¼ inch diameter. It must be 9 ½ inches from the rear block face to the center line of the inspection hole or 4 ½ inches from the front block face to the centerline of inspection hole and 1-¼ inches from the oil pan rail. There will not be any obstruction of view from the inspection hole to view crank and rods.

Note:
NO Aluminum harmonic balancers, must be steel.
