Chemung Speedrome 2007 Annual Car Show: At the Arnot Mall April 21 & 22. Once again, teams will need to arrive with their cars at the Arnot Mall by 9:30 p.m. on Friday, April 20, for load -in. Please meet in center court at 9:30 at that time your locations will be assigned. The exception to this will be our SST B-Mod Track Champions, whose cars will be displayed in the mall’s Center Court. Also, we will have an empty storefront in the mall earmarked for our use as a “headquarters” during the weekend.

Please keep in mind that the following rules/regulations must be met for your displays:

Drip pans or cardboard under rear ends, transmissions and oil pans if needed!! Please allow tire polish, such as “Armor-All” to dry before entering the mall. NO SPRAYING OF ANY Body or Tire Polishes in the mall (MAY MAKE FLOOR UNSAFE BY CARS) and these polishes may stain the floor tiles. If you use them indoor and stain the floor, you will be billed the cost of the cleaning. The Speedrome will not be responsible for your carelessness in this regard.. Gas tanks must be locked or taped.-- No open gas lines or oil lines.. If Batteries is in vehicle it is to be disconnected. A fire extinguisher must be available for every 3 to 4 cars on display. Ten (10) feet must be maintained between storefronts and all vehicle displays. Four (4) Feet must be maintained between benches and all vehicles displays if stanchions or barricades are used, this rule still applies. Displays are limited to (7) seven feet high. No type of high intensity lighting allowed (NO strobe lights, candles or smoke producing devices. If transmission is in vehicle it must be locked in park position. Make sure vehicles are not in neutral gear. If no transmission, a tire/wheel stop must be used to keep vehicle from rolling.

I would also like to take this opportunity to remind you that you will need to have your car show application in by April 16, so spots can be assigned. If for some reason you can not make the show after sending in a application PLEASE call and let us know…..

We thank you for your continued support of the Arnot Mall Car Show and of Chemung Speedrome, and look forward to your participation in 2007
