Lap
Sponsorships Available For Chemung Speedrome Opener

When the 2006 racing season at Chemung Speedrome kicks off,
area fans and businesses will be a huge part of a huge payday for
many of the drivers. What
was to have closed out the 2005 season, but was canceled due to poor
weather, will now open up a new year.
Renamed
the Speedrome Spring Fling, the big event is set to go on Saturday,
May 13th at 4 PM. While
all 6 divisions will be in competition, drivers in the top 2
divisions (SST-Modifieds and Super Stocks) will be going for an
enhanced purse.
Lap
sponsorship money, at a minimum of $25 per lap, is up for grabs.
And drivers through the two fields will benefit from the
payout format - 100% of the
money collected is returned to the drivers through a "Lucky
15" format, where random running positions 1-15 are drawn for
each lap. Both events are expected to draw race
teams from throughout the northeast.
The
opener will include a 125-lap SST-Modified race, the 75-laps Super
Stock Gold Cup, Street Stocks (15 laps), 4 Cylinders (20 laps),
Legends (20 laps) and Speedrome Juniors (12 laps).

commitment for lap sponsorship last fall to determine their
continued interest.
