Chemung Speedrome Releases Banquet Info
(Chemung, NY) Save The Date! Race teams,
fans, and sponsors are invited to attend the 2005 Chemung Speedrome
Banquet. The grand event, to celebrate and reflect on the successful
season, will take place on Saturday, January 14, 2006 at the Best
Western Grand Victorian Inn (255 Spring St., Sayre, PA).
In addition to honoring the top drivers
in all 5 regular divisions, track officials will hand out special awards
in several categories, to drivers and mechanics. Track champions Brian
Bowen (SST Modifieds), Mike Nichols (Street Stocks), Gene Purvis
(4-Cylinders), Rich Petrucco (Legends), Jake Snell (Factory Stocks), and
Jimmy Zacharias (Bandits) will take home the lion’s share of the
hardware for earning their respective titles.
The evening begins with cocktails at 6
PM. Dinner will be served at 7, followed by the award ceremony. A DJ
will then provide music for dancing to round out the evening.

Track owner, Bob Stapleton, and
Promoter, Chris Zacharias, have been hard at work planning the 2006
season. Several special events, already added to the schedule, will be
officially announced at the banquet.
