Chemung Rainout Means Some Titles Determined, Others Up For Grabs by Carol Houssock
A 100% forecast of rain during race time forced the management team at Chemung Speedrome to cancel for just the third time this season. They made the decision early to save teams competing on the Big 10 Super Stock Series from needlessly making the haul. The forecast was spot on. One less race date will not be an issue for three drivers who clinched the 2014 titles. Jimmy Zacharias, who will likely miss Friday’s race to run in the RoC event at Oswego, has an insurmountable lead of 135 points. Two perfect weeks of winning the heats and features would award 130 points.... Full Story

Second Chemung Win for Jody Buckley in Sunoco Modifieds, #4 for Tim Gullo in Super Stocks by Carol Houssock
Friday night racing returned to Chemung Speedrome as the 2014 season nears its conclusion in a few short weeks. Jody Buckley set down another impressive pattern of rubber with his post-race celebration of donuts and tire burning after winning his second Sunoco Modified feature of the year. Tim Gullo also celebrated his second win in the Super Stock division. Other winners included Ken Benjamin and Cody Jackson (Four Cylinder FWD and RWD), Brandon DeBrakeleer (INEX Legends), Chris Clemens (Dirt Crate Sportsman) and David French (Bandoleros).... Full Story

Hirschman Perfect in RoC Shows at Chemung This Year; Zacharias Get 5th Sunoco Mod Win by Carol Houssock
Chemung Speedrome was the place to be Saturday night – and plenty of race teams and fans did just that. The saw an Andrew Harpell production that was slick and well choreographed from the get-go. When it was over Matt Hirschman had won his fourth RoC, and second at Chemung, on the tour this year. Jimmy Zacharias picked up his fifth win in the track’s Sunoco Modified division and padded his point lead in the process. Other winners included Lee Sharpsteen (Super Stocks), Ryan Purvis and Devon Bailey (Four Cylinders), and Alexandria Smith (INEX Legends).... Full Story

Race Of Champions Asphalt Modified Tour 100 This Saturday At The Chemung Speedrome by RoC PR
The Race of Champions Asphalt Modified Tour is set to return to the Chemung Speedrome this Saturday night for a huge 100 lap event. All of the cars and stars of the RoC Asphalt Modified Tour will be joined by a full evening of NASCAR Weekly Racing Series competition. Qualifying heat racing gets underway at 6 p.m. The RoC Modified 100 is expected to start no later than 9 p.m. Two-time Race of Champions Asphalt Modified Tour Point Champion Chuck Hossfeld leads the tour in to Chemung this Saturday night. Hossfeld, from Ransomville, NY has two feature wins.... Full Story

Schedule Changes At Chemung This Upcoming Weekend For The RoC Asphalt Modified Tour Event by Carol Houssock
This Saturday, August 9th, Chemung Speedrome hosts their second event on the Sunoco Race of Champions Asphalt Modified tour. Chemung was the setting for the first race on the 2014 schedule, an event won by Matt Hirschman. That also marked the first of three consecutive wins for the Northampton, PA racer, who has been winless since the May 24th race at Oswego Speedway. Due to the full schedule, and the time restrictions for campers returning to Watkins Glen International, the entire program is being moved up. Pit gates will open at 3 PM.... Full Story

The Following Penalties Are Being Accessed
Following Friday Nights Racing At Chemung Speedrome

* July 21, 2014 - Effective Immediately

Driver Tony Hanbury will be fined and will be suspended from Competition for the remainder of the 2014 season at Chemung Speedrome and Spencer Speedway.

Driver Matt Clemens will be fined and will be suspended from Competition for the remainder of the 2014 season at Chemung Speedrome and Spencer Speedway.

Driver Cory Mosher will be suspended for 2 weeks of racing at Chemung Speedrome and Spencer Speedway and on track probation for the remainder of the season.

Driver TJ Zacharias will be fined and suspended for one week of competition at Chemung Speedway and Spencer Speedway and on track probation for the remainder of the season.

Car Owner Terry Zacharias will be suspended from being in the pits for 4 weeks of competition, Zacharias’s will be allowed one car this Friday night for Jimmy Zacharias and after Tj completes his one week suspension, they will be allowed 2 cars. This is for Chemung Speedrome and Spencer Speedway.
