Chemung Heading Back To Its Roots
Beginning in the 2017 season, Chemung Speedrome will return to Saturday Night Racing under the lights. It's never an easy decision to uproot staff and competitors and move a venue to a new day but after a lot of consideration and options, we feel that for the future of the track and asphalt racing in this area, Saturday Night Racing under the lights will grow into something special and make Chemung the premier short track it has the potential to be. We are looking at bigger and better things for the 2017 season and Saturday Night racing will be our base to build on. With Spencer Speedway keeping its Friday Night Venue, track owner John White will be working with INEX to try and secure the INEX sanction for Spencer to run Legends and possibly Bandolero classes throughout the 2017 season. Change is never easy, and for all that have supported Chemung on Friday nights, we thank you all, employees, fans, drivers and crews, you are all appreciated. We hope that this early notice will allow teams and fans to make the switch to Saturday Nights an easy one. We re looking forward to great things in 2017 and hope you will all be a part of it.

Thank you

TJ Zacharias Survives Wild Chemung Sunoco Modified Feature by Carol Houssock
It wasn’t all sloppy. But when the Sunoco Modifieds, which had run a 40-lap race with just one caution two weeks ago, hit the track it quickly got that way. Yellow fever and some lengthy clean-ups bumped up against the track’s curfew and cut the distance of the Sunoco Modified feature in half. TJ Zacharias won the race, along with Tim Gullo (Super Stocks), JP Harbst (4 Cylinders), Kevin Youngs (INEX Legends) and Bryce Bailey (Bandoleros).
