The Following Penalties Are Being Accessed
Following Friday Nights Racing At Chemung Speedrome

* July 21, 2014 - Effective Immediately

Driver Tony Hanbury will be fined and will be suspended from Competition for the remainder of the 2014 season at Chemung Speedrome and Spencer Speedway.

Driver Matt Clemens will be fined and will be suspended from Competition for the remainder of the 2014 season at Chemung Speedrome and Spencer Speedway.

Driver Cory Mosher will be suspended for 2 weeks of racing at Chemung Speedrome and Spencer Speedway and on track probation for the remainder of the season.

Driver TJ Zacharias will be fined and suspended for one week of competition at Chemung Speedway and Spencer Speedway and on track probation for the remainder of the season.

Car Owner Terry Zacharias will be suspended from being in the pits for 4 weeks of competition, Zacharias’s will be allowed one car this Friday night for Jimmy Zacharias and after Tj completes his one week suspension, they will be allowed 2 cars. This is for Chemung Speedrome and Spencer Speedway.

15 Year-Old Rookie Connor Sellars Tames Chemung Sunoco Modifieds, Gets Career-First Win by Carol Houssock
The weather was perfect Friday night at Chemung Speedrome, and the crowd on hand witnessed a little bit of everything. Connor Sellars won the 40-lap Sunoco Modified feature, his first as a newcomer to the division this year. Lee Sharpsteen got his wish for three wins in a row, and four overall, in the Super Stock division. Ryan Purvis had a good news, bad news scenario in the Four Cylinder division and he and Dustin Hall celebrated their RWD and FWD wins. Race fans at Chemung Speedrome enjoyed perfect weather and some intense racing on the second weekend in July. There was lots of celebrating on the 4th of July at Chemung Speedrome. Jimmy Zacharias padded his point lead with his 3rd win of the season, while Lee Sharpsteen took home his 2nd trophy this year in the Super Stock division. Other winners included Nick Morich (4 Cylinders), Christian Eckes (INEX Legends) and David French (Bandoleros). Point battles are tightening as the track is now in the second half of the 2014 season. Terry Potrzebowski Proves 60 is the New 30 in Chemung Super Stocks; J Zacharias Wins Sunoco Mods by Carol Houssock
Terry Potrzebowski’s season got off to a rough start. But a true veteran racer fights the car until it’s right. A jubilant Potrzebowski picked up his first win of the season. He chose the right night – 50 laps for the Super Stocks and double points for all divisions. Jimmy Zacharias also got a season-first in the Sunoco Modifieds. Nick Morich finished 3rd but was awarded the 4 Cylinder win following post-race tech. NYPA Midgets Invade Chemung Speedrome, Curren and Gullo Impressive in Wins by Ray Hodge
The NYPA Midgets invaded the Chemung Speedrome 23 strong Friday night and put on a show second to none. The 25 lap feature slowed by several cautions was something to see. These cars are small and fast and the 3/8 mile asphalt was a great fit for the speed of these cars. This is my first trip to this area and to the track said race winner Buddy Sload, the track was fast and that was some great racing. Jimmy Zacharias Picks Up First Win Of 2014 at Chemung Speedrome by Ray Hodge
Friday the 13th, a full moon and some good ole fashioned Friday night racing played out at Chemung Speedrome as Candors Jimmy Zacharias picked up his first win of 2014, The 2013 track Champion has had an up and down season to this point but Friday Night it was all Jimmy as he dominated the entire 75 lap main event for the Sunoco Modifieds. A scary lap one crash on the backstretch as the 94 of Zack Curren made contact with John Wilber sending Wilber on a wild ride up the backstretch wall. TJ Potrzebowski and John Wilber Win a Pair of Crazy Sunoco Modified Features at Chemung by Carol Houssock
Chemung Speedrome presented a full program Friday night, with a total of 8 feature races for 6 divisions. TJ Potrzebowski won the 40-lap Sunoco Modified feature held over from the prior week, while John Wilber claimed the regularly scheduled 40-lapper. Tim Gullo got his 2nd win in the Super Stocks; Mike Alcaro won both ends of the twin bill for the INEX Legends. Mike Nichols Defends Chemung Big 10 Super Stock Win; Modifieds Postponed One Week by Carol Houssock
We told Mother Nature she wasn’t invited and she listened! Under beautiful racing conditions Chemung Speedrome welcomed the Big 10 Super Stocks along with their regular divisions. Winners Friday night included Mike Nichols (Super Stocks), Brandon DeBrakeleer (INEX Legends), Joe Lane (4 Cylinders) and Nick Morich (Bandoleros). The Sunoco Modifieds fell victim to the track curfew and a safety concern. The Big 10 Super Stock Series kicked off their 2014 schedule with a 35-lap feature at the Speedrome. The 20-car field competed in 3 heat races, won by Joe Mancuso, Mike Nichols and Jeff Goodwin. The top 4 finishers from those heats drew... Full Story
